How are calories burned calculated?
Calories burned are estimated based on your step count, distance traveled, and general activity level. These are approximations and may vary based on individual factors like weight, age, and fitness level.
Does the app work without internet?
Yes! Steppa works offline. Your step count, distance, and calories are tracked locally on your device. However, some features like map syncing may require an internet connection.
How do I enable location services?
To use map features and track explored areas, enable location services in your device settings. Go to Settings → Privacy → Location Services, then enable location access for Steppa. You can disable this at any time.
Why aren't my steps updating?
Make sure the app has permission to access motion and fitness data. On iOS, go to Settings → Privacy → Motion & Fitness and enable access for Steppa. On Android, ensure the app has necessary permissions in your device settings.
Can I sync my data across devices?
Currently, Steppa stores your data locally on your device. Cloud sync features may be available in future updates. Make sure to back up your device regularly to preserve your fitness data.
How do I reset my daily steps?
Your daily steps reset automatically at midnight each day. There's no need to manually reset - the app handles this automatically so you can start fresh each day.
